Simple fat controlling side to go with your fat controlling curries!



4 large mangoes peeled sliced and salted overnight

4 garlic cloves crushed

450g Xylitol

2 baking apples peel and chopped

1 tbsp mustard powder

1 tbsp grated ginger

600ml white wine vinegar

1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper


Rinse and dry the mango from the salt

add the garlic, xylitol, sugar, apple, mustard powder, vinegar and cayenne to the pan and heat until the xylitol has dissolved stirring all the time.

Add the mango to the pan and simmer for approx. 30 mins or until the mixture has thickened up slightly and become syrupy.

Put in a pot and keep in the fridge
