Turkey burgers

Serves 1

  • 150g/51⁄2oz turkey mince
  • 1tsp paprika
  • 1tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1tsp ground ginger
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1tbsp olive oil
Preparation method

Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6. Place the turkey and the turkey burger spices into a clean bowl and season well with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Mix the ingredients well. Shape the spiced mince into a burger patty with your hands. Heat a griddle pan until smoking hot. Brush the burger with the olive oil and fry it for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.

To serve, place the burger on a cos lettuce leaf, tom with chilli jam and serve with onion rings and vegetable slaw.
