Non Pasta Bolognese

A low carb alternative to an Italian classic

Directions

Dice one red onion

Cook until transparent

Add lean, organic beef mince and cook until browned

Add one jar of passata

Sprinkle in teaspoon xylitol or one sweetener

Simmer for about 15 mins until reduced

Add chopped garlic, a handful of torn basil, a tablespoon of capers and teaspoon chilli flakes (or fresh)

Add a glug of worcestershire sauce

Cook gently for 5 mins

Serve with steamed/boiled shredded lettuce & leeks or raw courgette pasta

Top with finely grated cheese (easy on this-it’s a condiment!)
