Mixed Bean Burger


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 x 750g can four bean mix, drained
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups wholemeal breadcrumbs /gluten free
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1⁄4 cup plain flour/gram flour/almond flour/coconut flour
  • 2 tablspoons extra oil

Heat the oil in frying pan and cook the onion and garlic until soft. Place in a large bowl. Add the beans, cumin, salt, breadcrumbs and eggs to the onion mix. Mix well. Form the mixture into burgers and toss gently in flour. Heat extra oil in a frying pan or on BBQ, and cook burgers until golden on both sides. Serve as for the Turkey Burger

Why not make an extra batch of these burgers and freeze them for later use?
