How To ‘Un-Diet’ Yourself: Part Two
So you read part one and now understand fully why it’s not your fault you haven’t succeeded at weight loss and why you are still trying to lose weight. (you did right?)
This post will be shorter and more direct because I know how overloaded with information you are right now. I just want to share a little secret with you.
So ready for another light bulb moment?
Firstly let’s clear something up
WHY do you want to lose weight?
You might think this is obvious… ‘Jill. I want to be thinner of course’
YES but there is a much deeper issue that needs to be uncovered. So without going into your childhood history or your emotional relationship with food, the answer is ……
To get a feeling.
Yep, you want to lose weight in order to have a feeling!
- More confident
So here’s the secret. You don’t need to lose weight to get these feelings. In fact you shouldn’t lose weight to get these feelings! You have ALL those feelings inside you already.
‘BUT WAIT’ you cry, ‘I can’t feel that way until I lose weight!’
YES YES YES you can. You were born complete and enough. There is nothing you have to do or prove in order to feel those things. You deserve to feel them NOW!
The truth is, that if you can’t or don’t access those feelings now, how can you expect to reach them just because you are a little bit thinner?
The truth is YOU WON’T. It will not make one jot of difference. Sure you might feel good for a while, but then the goal posts will simply move.
You see in order to get the thing you want to have you have to be, feel and see the thing you want NOW. That’s the power of the universe and law of attraction. It doesn’t work the other way around!
The filters that we see ourselves have been distorted by modern socially constructed ideas of beauty.
How are you measuring sexy, happier, attractive, confident? We compare ourselves to people we think better than us, thinner than us, prettier than us, sexier than us and richer than us.
But do you think they are any happier or feel the sexiest person on the planet? Not many at all will have this same realisation that I am trying to share with you.
So unleash the feelings. Start practising accessing those feelings now and you will immediately feel different.
Nothing good is ever built from a negativity. So in order to make the changes you want you have to be the changes NOW!
So get off that diet, stop telling yourself you need to be more or better. Stop putting those feelings on hold and start feeling the super hero that you deserve to be.
From a place of self love, worth and deserving, nourish your mind, body and soul on real foods that you love and that nourish your body. Take consistent and regular movement and exercise that you love to do.
Love the journey and love yourself NOW and I promise the results will be epic and you can start RIGHT NOW!
