  1. Instead of crisps make some plain popcorn and place in bags – flavour with cinnamon! Air-popped popcorn is naturally high in fibre, low in calories and fat, contains no sodium, and is sugar free
  2. Instead of sweets think nuts, seeds and dried fruit mixes.  Nuts and seeds are packed full of good fats and protein including minerals and antioxidants and can help lower your risk of heart disease. Dried fruit such as apricots in moderation can help satisfy that sweet fruit and deliver a high amount of fibre and minerals such as magnesium, iron and calcium.
  3. Instead of sugar filled fruit smoothies carry sachets or tubs of protein powders to mix with water
  4. Instead of dairy milk chocolate (sugar flavoured chocolate devoid of many nutrients and high in fat and sugar) carry small portions of 70% dark chocolate (high in antioxidants and low in sugar)
  5. Instead of biscuits think oat cakes or wholegrain rice cakes and nut butters
  6. Instead of cereal bars t  think little olives or mini cheese such as babybel
